Join us at a wine tasting and networking event

Did you know that more than 1,500 Binghamton University graduates live in the Syracuse area? You are invited to meet your fellow alumni at Koto Japanese Steakhouse (district manager is Will Cheung ’99). Come sample fine wines and appetizers while networking with alumni who live and work in our region.

Admission for this event is $20/person and includes five wine and five appetizer samples. Please register online for this event prior to Thursday, July 18. We’re sorry; refunds cannot be granted after the registration deadline.

Washington Nationals baseball Game vs. New York Mets
Nationals Park, Washington
Friday, July 26
Game time: 7 p.m.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online. Our group will be seated in section 107. Our game tickets are limited to the first 40 people. There will be a pre-game mixer, starting at 5:30 p.m., at Half Street Fairgrounds (look for the Binghamton University signs and balloons). Tickets must be picked up at Half Street Fairgrounds before 6:30 p.m. The registration deadline is Tuesday, July 23. Sorry – no refunds will be issued.

The 2013 Alumni Golf Classic will be held Friday, Aug. 2, at Vestal Hills Country Club. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.

We look forward to welcoming our golfers, and we are sure you’ll enjoy a full day which includes 18 holes of golf on a beautiful course, as well as a fabulous lunch and dinner reception. Thanks to our very loyal supporters and new foursomes, this year’s event is sold out.

The Alumni Golf Classic is a summer tradition and supports the Alumni Association’s Legacy Scholarship Fund, which benefits current students who are relatives of Binghamton University graduates.

Join us for a baseball game and alumni mixer at U.S. Cellular Field
Friday, August 9
Mixer at 11:30 a.m. at Bacardi at the Park
Game vs. Minnesota Twins at 1:10 p.m.

This will be a Binghamton University day at the ballpark – in more ways than one! The Chicago Chapter of your Alumni Association invites you to get together with other Binghamton University graduates at a pre-game mixer. Then, enjoy Major League Baseball action as the White Sox take on the Minnesota Twins. Scott Diamond, a 2011 graduate of Binghamton University (pictured above), plays for the Twins.

Tickets are just $20 each, and are located in Section 158, Rows 17 and 18 – see seating chart). Spouses and families are welcome to attend as well. Please register online by Friday, August 2. Tickets will be e-mailed to you. We’re sorry – no refunds can be issued after the registration deadline.

Enjoy a baseball game with other Binghamton University alumni who live in our area. We are offering a special ticket price of $15. Parking passes (a $4 value) will be given to the first six people who respond to this message!

Our group will be seated in Terrace boxes on the first base side, near Jackie Robinson Place. Each ticket includes a raffle card for a chance to win a special gift from the Bulls. Our group name will be displayed on the video board during group welcomes. You’ll have direct access to concessions with the Suite Menu. And, be sure to stick around after the game for fireworks.

The Alumni Association is excited to welcome the newest members of the Binghamton University community. We invite new students and their families to a very special dessert reception to symbolically send off Binghamton’s newest students. We’re also inviting our alumni who live in the area to join in wishing students well during the upcoming academic year.

Join the brothers of NY Omega for a get together. This location is convenient to BOTH Penn Station and Grand Central Station, so we hope to see a lot of New Jersey and Long Island brothers that we missed last time.

Admission is free. Bring guests if you like. A special section will be reserved for our group.

Binghamton Soccer and Tailgate at George Mason

Tailgate at noon; game starts at 1 p.m.

Wear green and be ready to cheer on your Bearcats! We will serve light refreshments at this tailgate party – BYOB. There is no cost to attend the tailgate, but we ask you to please register online so we know to expect you. Tickets for the game will be sold at the gate (cash only): $6 for adults and $4 for children. The registration deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Annual D.C. Metro Chapter Picnic
East Potomac Park – Hains Point
Sunday, Sept. 22
Noon – 2:30 p.m.

Hains Point is a peninsula on the Potomac River. Our picnic area will be at the very tip of the park; look for signs and balloons. We will provide burgers, hot dogs and spiedies. You are welcome to bring a dish to pass. There is no cost to attend the picnic, but we ask that you please register online so we know to expect you. The registration deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 17.

SUNY Alumni Day at the Ballpark
Thursday, Sept. 26
5 to 7 p.m.: Private pre-game reception at McFadden’s at Citi Field
7:10 p.m.: New York Mets vs. Milwaukee Brewers

There’s still time to enjoy a summer pastime in the company of good friends. Make plans today to join us at SUNY Alumni Day at the Ballpark.

The admission price of $28/person includes a game ticket in the Big Apple Reserved section in center field, and refreshments and light appetizers for two hours. This will be a family-friendly event and a wonderful opportunity for SUNY alumni to mingle and network with colleagues and alumni from SUNY campuses across the state.
