The amount of information collected about individuals, primarily online, is increasing exponentially. Each day people add totheir digital footprint through the use of computers, smartphones, tablets, payment systems, thermostats, automobiles and other internet-connected devices. The resulting data can be used for many purposes, including advertising delivery, analytics, market research, security, fraud detection and more.

So called “big data” can help drive the new digital economy, but are coupled with concerns about privacy and consumer control. An accomplished panel of alumni working in big data will share their perspectives on this hot topic.
