Do you remember what it was like to be a student at Binghamton, getting ready to graduate and looking for an internship or first job? It was probably one of the most challenging times of your life. The Binghamton students of today will need to navigate a complex job and internship market. As a Binghamton University graduate, you can make a difference in the life of a student. Please join us for a special event to network with other alumni and learn how you can partner with the University to provide mentoring, internship and employment opportunities for Binghamton University students in your area and field.

Our special event, hireBing will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center. Bill McCarthy, associate director of the University’s Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development, will discuss recruiting, employer visits, internships, externships and how to share job opportunities with students and alumni. Following the presentation, there will be an alumni networking reception including hors d’oeuvres, desserts and refreshments.

Binghamton University has more than 2,000 alumni living in the Syracuse area. This event will provide you with an opportunity to meet some of these alumni, expand your professional network and, most importantly, learn how you can give back to your alma mater by assisting current students in their career development. There is no cost to attend our event; please register online by Friday, October 3.

If you have any questions, please contact the Alumni Relations office at 607-777-2424. We hope you’ll make the most of the opportunity to contribute to a strong Binghamton University network in the Syracuse area. hireBing is sponsored by your Alumni Association, the Syracuse Chapter and the Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development.
