Join us for a baseball game and alumni mixer at U.S. Cellular Field

Friday, April 19
Mixer at 5:30 p.m. at Bacardi at the Park
Game vs. Minnesota Twins at 7:10 p.m.

This will be a Binghamton University night at the ballpark – in more ways than one! The Chicago Chapter of your Alumni Association invites you to get together with other Binghamton University graduates at a pre-game mixer. Then, enjoy Major League Baseball action as the White Sox take on the Minnesota Twins. The projected Twins starting pitcher is Scott Diamond, a 2011 graduate of Binghamton University.

Tickets are just $20 each, and are located in Section 158, Rows 17 and 18. Spouses and families are welcome to attend as well.

Did you know we have more than 500 Binghamton University alumni living in our region? Come see old and new friends as we watch some New York hockey at Wakefield Tavern – the best Spiedie-Serving Tavern in the Triangle!

The New York Islanders and Carolina Hurricanes will face off at 7 p.m., and the Wakefield Tavern Trivia Contest starts at 8. The tavern menu features chicken spiedies and has a wide selection of beverages.

Limited quantities of Gennie Cream Ale will also be available at this event. Appetizers will be sponsored by the Binghamton University Alumni Association – Raleigh Chapter!

Binghamton Crosbys 30th Anniversary Weekend
April 26 – 28

We invite you to come back to Binghamton for what should be an unforgettable weekend. The 30th anniversary celebration will be a wonderful opportunity to get together with friends and meet current members of the Binghamton Crosbys. The weekend has been planned just for you and we know you will have a great time!

4 – 5 p.m.: Campus tour given by Student Ambassadors
6 p.m.: Informal meet and greet at the Holiday Inn in downtown Binghamton

Saturday, April 27
9 – 11 a.m.: Official Meet and Greet Brunch on campus at the Chenango Room

11 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Rehearsal (Fine Arts Building, Rooms 166, 168, 170, and 172)

To prepare for the year-long celebration, we invite your contribution to the archives. We will showcase some of these highlights during Homecoming Weekend and at special events throughout the year.

From the East Coast to the West Coast, Binghamton University faculty, students and alumni are discovering new technologies that have a broad impact on our lives – right now and in the future.

Join fellow alumni at the Hilton San Jose to learn first-hand how your alma mater is doing on the continuing road to discovery. At our event, you’ll find out about:

Binghamton University: President Harvey Stenger will share his vision and Road Map for making Binghamton the premier public university of the 21st century. An engineer by training (Cornell ’79, MIT ’83) and former dean of engineering and applied sciences at the University of Buffalo, President Stenger’s passion for education, research and discovery runs deep.

Research partnerships: Dr. Bahgat Sammakia, vice president of research, will discuss new developments in the fields of smart energy, small scale electronics and health care.
The Watson School: Dean Krishnaswami “Hari” Srihari will share the latest news, our growing alumni network, and what is planned for the 30th anniversary of the Watson School.

The event is free and includes hors d’oeuvres, coffee, tea and soft drinks, compliments of the Binghamton University Alumni Association and the Watson School. Cash bar. Bring a guest.

That’s why your Alumni Association is re-launching an alumni chapter in your area, and celebrating the re-launch with a special event. You can find out about the exciting programs and events that our re-launched chapter will be offering this year. We will have Binghamton University giveaways for everyone who attends. Also, we are very excited to welcome members of the Class of 2013 into the Alumni Association.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online. Our group will be seated in rows 1 and 2 of section 368. Our game tickets are limited to the first 20 people. There will be a pre-game mixer, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Pratt Street Ale House (206 W. Pratt St.). Tickets must be picked up at that location no later than 7:30 p.m.
