We will explore: Why is AAPI leadership important? Is it more than the issue of diversity? How do the motivations and aspirations of Asian Americans differ from their colleagues, mentors and role models? How can the advancement of AAPI leaders in a wider array of industries and professions be encouraged? These and related issues will be explored as we seek to gain an in-depth understanding about the effects of culture and race on leadership.

LACE has completed its fourth successful session, providing close to 100 Harpur undergraduates with the opportunity to shadow Harpur alumni. Current LACE volunteers are encouraged to bring a fellow Harpur alumnus or alumna guest.

LACE is an exciting program that provides Harpur College students the opportunity to explore career options and gain insight into the realities of the workplace. Selected students will be matched with professional alumni for a shadowing experience at the sponsor’s workplace. Alumni are able to make a significant difference in the lives of these talented undergraduates.

Be connected: Dr. Krishnaswami “Hari” Srihari, dean of the Watson School, will share the latest research at Watson, and what’s coming up next.

Keep informed: Dr. Kaustubh Nagarkar of GE Global Research will discuss current R&D initiatives, including Smart Energy and electronics design.

Share ideas: Denise Lorenzetti, director, Watson Career and Alumni Connections will seek your input on how to build our alumni network, and plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Watson School this fall.

This will be a Binghamton University night at the ballpark – in more ways than one! The Chicago Chapter of your Alumni Association invites you to get together with other Binghamton University graduates at a pre-game mixer. Then, enjoy Major League Baseball action as the White Sox take on the Minnesota Twins. The projected Twins starting pitcher is Scott Diamond, a 2011 graduate of Binghamton University.

Tickets are just $20 each, and are located in Section 158, Rows 17 and 18. Spouses and families are welcome to attend as well.
