Alumni Gathering and Tour of Washington Heights Mural Project

Monday, May 18 at 5:30 p.m.
Meet at intersection of 190th Street and Broadway
Washington Heights, Manhattan

We invite you to join Emily Colasacco ’05, Director of Urban Art/ Summer Streets at the NYC Department of Transportation, who will lead a tour through the pedestrian tunnel at 191st Street and Broadway in Washington Heights. The NYC Department of Transportation Art Program has selected four individual artists and one artist team to beautify the nine hundred foot tunnel. The tour will include the opportunity to hear from the artists about their work of art and observe as they put the finishing touches on their murals. Learn more about the project and artists by reading the press release (link to press release from Emily).

Emily will meet all interested alumni at the intersection of 190th Street and Broadway at 5:30 p.m. to give a personal tour of the mural project. The tunnel will be closed to the public, so please arrive as close to 5:30 p.m. as possible, to join the tour group. After the tour, Emily will gather with alumni at a nearby restaurant to continue the conversation.

This is a complimentary event. However, we ask that you please register online prior to Friday, May 15 so we know to expect you.
