Alumni are invited to come out for a great night of food, drinks, football and socialization.
Prior to the social aspect of the evening, come early for a one-hour speed networking activity. During this general networking session you will have the opportunity to formally connect with each other to share valuable insight about your profession, industry, and/or company. Come build your professional network! This activity will be facilitated by Bill McCarthy, associate director of the Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development at Binghamton University.
The cost of the event is $25/person and includes appetizers, a full buffet dinner and one drink ticket (a cash bar will be available for additional drinks). Register online for this event by Friday, Nov. 14.

Join us for a men’s basketball game at Mohegan Sun
Saturday, Nov. 22

Binghamton Men’s Basketball vs. Manhattan College: 5:30 p.m.

Join fellow alumni at Mohegan Sun to cheer on the Binghamton University Bearcats as they compete against Manhattan College during the Hall of Fame Tip Off tournament as part of the Springfield Bracket. Tickets for the game are $12 each (located in the lower level of section 27) and will also grant admission into the 8 p.m. game between the United States Naval Academy and Northeastern University.
A pre-game reception will be held at The Landsdowne Pub starting at 4 p.m. and will be attended by Binghamton University Director of Athletics Patrick Elliott, along with a brief appearance by one of the men’s basketball coaches. The reception will include an array of appetizers and a cash bar. The cost for the reception will be $10/person.
Tickets for the game and reception can be purchased online.
If you are interested in tickets for the Naismith Bracket (UMass, Notre Dame, Providence and Florida State) on Saturday and Sunday along with the Springfield Bracket (Manhattan College, Binghamton University, United States Naval Academy and Northeastern University) on Sunday, these can be purchased directly through Ticketmaster and hotel rooms can be booked through the Mohegan Sun website.

We invite you to an exciting opportunity to connect with and meet Binghamton University’s Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Donald Nieman, along with fellow Washington-area alumni.
Provost Nieman began his career at Binghamton in 2008 as the Dean of Harpur College of Arts and Sciences and was named the Executive Vice President and Provost in 2012. He will discuss how Binghamton University is building on its historic excellence to become the premier public university of the 21st century. You’ll certainly feel tremendous pride in Binghamton as you hear about our wonderful new facilities, the accomplishments of our talented students, and the growth of our enrollment (with plans to reach 20,000 students by 2020) through new curricular programs. The University’s Road Map contains a number of exciting new initiatives aimed at providing a transformative learning community that will prepare our students for advanced education, careers and purposeful living.

We know that our BOLD alumni have unique interests, goals and aspirations. So, we are excited to host programs and events that suit you. In fact, we have an event coming up soon.
Your Alumni Association’s D.C. Metro Chapter is excited to invite you to a football watch party at Laughing Man Tavern on Dec. 7. This event will be an opportunity for you to meet other BOLD alumni in the area as well as to support your New York sports teams. There is a $5 cost per person to cover appetizers for the group. There will also be additional food and beverages available for purchase. BOLD alumni are encouraged to register online by Monday, Dec. 1.

We invite you to join William “Bill” Voelkle ’61, Curator of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts at the Morgan Library & Museum, who will give a tour of his current exhibition, The Crusader Bible: A Gothic Masterpiece. The spectacular Crusader Bible is one of the greatest illuminated manuscripts in the world, renowned as much for its unrivaled and boldly colored illustrations as it is for its fascinating history. The work brings Old Testament stories alive in bright images replete with medieval castles, towns, and battling knights in armor, all set in thirteenth-century France. Bill will meet all interested alumni at the public entrance to the Morgan Library at 3 p.m. for a personal tour of his exhibition and will provide entry buttons for all. After the tour, Bill will gather with alumni for coffee in the museum café to continue to conversation. The buttons will allow alumni to visit all exhibitions at The Morgan which will be open until 9 p.m.
