Porsche Exhibit – Raleigh @ North Carolina Museum of Art
Dec 28 @ 20:00 – 23:00

Join us for the N.C. Museum of Art’s Special Exhibit “Porsche By Design”
Saturday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m.
North Carolina Museum of Art
2110 Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh

This will be a perfect family-friendly event if you like:
* Art: Examine 22 cars including those owned by Janis Joplin, Ralph Lauren and Steve McQueen. Learn about Porsche’s renowned design and discover Porsche’s connection to other works of art.
* Engineering: The very name Porsche is synonymous with automotive technology and innovation. As its slogan says, “Porsche: There is no substitute”
* History: Porsche’s history is inextricably intertwined with World War II. After Porsche was founded in 1931, one of its first assignments was from the German government to design a “car for the people” or a “Volkswagen.” The result was the Volkswagen Beetle, one of the most successful cars of all time. The evolution of the Porsche brand eventually led to the 550 Spyder, the Porsche 911 and other iconic Porsche models.
* Food and Friendship: Start your tour with your alumni-friends at the Museum’s limited-time “Porsche Biergarten” featuring German-inspired cuisine, as well as North Carolina beers, wines and snacks.

Tickets can be purchased online; please be sure to purchase your tickets for the 2:30 p.m. tour. The price is $18 for adults and there are discounts available for children and seniors. Join us for lunch at the Porsche Biergarten at the East (old) Building at 1 p.m. or – for the tour only – meet at the same location at 2:15 p.m.
