Your Alumni Association’s Greater Binghamton Chapter is excited to invite you to our second annual networking event in partnership with the Southern Tier Young Professionals (STYP) group at Remlik’s on August 18.
This event will be an opportunity for you to meet other BOLD (Bearcats of the Last Decade) alumni in the area as well as members of STYP. The event will be held on the patio, or indoors if it rains, and food and drink specials will be offered.
BOLD alumni are encouraged to register online by Friday, August 12. All who register will receive a gift at the event. There is no cost to attend, but we ask that you please register online so we know to expect you.

Whether you are from the east and still cheer on the Mets or if you are a bigger fan of the local Giants, you are invited to join us at the ballpark on Sunday, Aug. 21. This will be a great opportunity for you to meet fellow alumni and take part in an American tradition.
Tickets for the game are $48 each and can be purchased online until August 17, or until the block is sold out. The Binghamton alumni group will be seated in section 321. Your tickets will be emailed to you the week prior to the game.
An informal pre-game gathering will be held at 3:30 p.m. at a location TBD near the stadium.

We are delighted to have Alumnus Jim Bankoski, ’91, Engineering Director at Google, graciously host an alumni gathering at Google in Mountain View on Thursday, September 22nd.
Jim is in charge of Chrome Media’s Compression efforts. He’s the former CTO of On2 Technologies (acquired by Google in 2010), and a technical contributor to all of On2’s and later Google’s codecs from Tm2x through VP9; including video codecs widely used in Flash and Skype and now WebM. He is also a Technical Consultant for the hit HBO Series Silicon Valley.
Following a short tour of the Google campus, Jim will share his insights on:
-How his time at Binghamton provided the foundation for landing a role at one of the world’s most innovative companies
-The process of launching a startup to being acquired by Google
-What Jim does in his current role at Google
-What makes Google different and what is it like to work there
-What does it mean to be a Technical Consultant for the hit HBO Series Silicon Valley
-Jim’s role in encouraging diversity in the tech sector
-You will also have plenty of time to network and connect with other alumni in attendance.
