A panel of successful Binghamton University graduates will share strategies for career success. Then, you can meet face-to-face with alumni during a career networking session where you can ask questions about working in specific fields and industries.

An art exhibition featuring Binghamton University alumni

Meet with Binghamton University alumni at the closing reception for the multimedia exhibition of new art titled “Informal Economy.” Artists will be happy to talk with you and answer any of your questions. While viewing these compelling works of art, you can enjoy music, hors d’oeuvres and wine from alumni vintners. All alumni who attend will receive a Binghamton University gift.

The following alumni are presenting works in this exhibition: Robert Fundis ’01, Amanda Kates ’02, Michael Lieberman ’04, Melissa Mischke, Brian Murphy ’08, John Ros ’00, Zach Seeger ’01 and Andy Stevens ’88.

You are invited to an alumni gathering at Koto Japanese Steakhouse, owned by Will Cheung ’99. Did you know that more than 1,500 Binghamton University alumni live in the Syracuse area? Find out more about the Alumni Association’s Syracuse Chapter while enjoying a sampling of sushi, sake and other Japanese-themed fare, including the specially-created “Bearcat Roll.”

Attendance is free with advance registration. Admission is $5 at the door. The first 15 alumni to register will receive a special Binghamton University gift!

Shake the winter blues at the biggest on-campus alumni event of the season! Wear your Binghamton green and join us for the men’s game, women’s game, or both. Meet with friends — and make new ones — at our indoor tailgate party. We’ll have a BBQ buffet ($20 – register in advance), concession fare at reduced prices, DJ, giveaways, kids’ games and live entertainment. Players, coaches and spirit squads will make appearances at the party. This event will be fun for the whole family!

We are offering special ticket prices to alumni and guests:
Women’s basketball game:
* $3 bench seats (full price is $6); $6 chair-back (full price is $8)

Men’s basketball game:
* $4 bench seats (full price is $8); $10 chair-back (full price is $12)

Admission to the indoor tailgate party is free; however, online registration is required by Monday, Feb. 4. To purchase basketball tickets and register for the tailgate, please visit the Winter Madness website. Refunds for the BBQ or ticket purchases will not be granted after the registration deadline.

The event will feature remarks by gallery owner Ronald Feldman, art dealer Marco Nocella, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a Binghamton University logoed wine glass, and wine supplied by Binghamton University alumni vintners.

Whether you are new to the art scene or an established artist, you will be sure to enjoy this unique inside look at the New York City art world, and the opportunity to learn about the business of collecting art. After the remarks, please stay and interact with alumni and guests, and enjoy an opening reception for artist Jason Salavon.

TEDx at Binghamton University

TED (technology, entertainment, design) is a nonprofit organization devoted to the notion of ‘Ideas Worth Spreading.’ Started 25 years ago, TED has grown to support world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives including TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience by hosting speakers of many disciplines together to give short talks.
